Family Half Term Boating Weekends

This year lots of families are choosing to explore the beautiful UK countryside and go on a boating holiday. Boats have fully equipped kitchens so are perfect for self-catering from your own floating holiday home. Complete beginners are welcome because full tuition is always given on arrival. Although availability is now limited, here are a selection of boats for an adventurous short break this October Half Term.

‘Golden Meadow’, North Wales

Golden Meadow is a spacious narrowboat for a family of four with two cabins, one twin and one double. Holidays start from Trevor on the popular Llangollen Canal, perfect for crossing the stunning Pontcysyllte Aquduct.

‘Kimberley’, Scotland

Starting at Falkirk, Kimberley can sleep up to six people using the settee bed in the saloon and two cabins. Route highlights include the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies.

‘Tanzanite Emblem’, Norfolk Broads

A modern cruiser with a central steering position, Tanzanite Emblem has two en-suite double cabins. There are no locks on the Norfolk Broads and plenty of ducks and geese to feed!

‘Omniscient’, Worcestershire

With a flexible bed layout, Omniscient is based at Pershore on the River Avon in Worcestershire. Pershore is ideally situated in between Shakespearian Stratford-upon-Avon and the medieval market town of Tewkesbury.
