Terms & Conditions of Hire:
Hire Times: Arrive from 2.00pm for all weekly and short break holidays. Return your boat by 9.00am on the last day of hire.
A booking deposit of 25% of the full hire cost (or £200 depending on which amount is greater) is required at the time of booking. The balance of hire then becomes due 6 weeks before the start date of your holiday.
Hire of all Broads Yachts requires some previous sailing experience (minimum competent dinghy sailing). Additional optional tuition can be provided on arrival for those new to Broads sailing.

Optional Extras:
If you have not sailed on the Broads before, introductory instruction can be booked for the first day of your holiday, at £36 per hour, payable with the balance of hire. This includes a sail on the river to demonstrate basic sailing manoeuvres & handling.
Sailing dinghy: £95 per week & per short break.
Rowing boat: £75 per week & short break. Subject to availability.






Boat Description:
Highlights: Fast and powerful vintage yacht, Bootlegger was built by Walter Woods in 1923. Ideal for experienced sailors, she is rigged as a gaff sloop with a furling jib, bowsprit and a choice of both a large and small jib. Modern quiet running Yanmar engine. Maintained to a high standard including change of carpets for each hire. Spacious accommodation with raising roof to provide 6ft headroom with roof up (5ft or less with roof lowered under sail). Electric razor point. Gas heating. Wet / dry hanging locker. Please note that this boat does not have a shower - see notes below under 'Bathroom'. Optional sailing tuition is available at £36 per hour. Minimum 3 hours. (This is paid for with the balance of hire, if required). Cot sides available free of charge if required.
Saloon: Comfortable saloon with raising roof with 6ft headroom when moored (5ft or less when sailing). Two draylon covered sofas with storage under that convert to comfortable single beds at night.
Galley: Small well designed galley with dual burner gas cooker, grill and oven. Electric fridge that can be left running overnight. Sufficient saucepans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. for the number of berths.
Cabins: Forward cabin with two draylon covered seats that convert to single beds at night.
Bathroom: Sea toilet and wash hand basin. Please note that Bootlegger does not have a shower but there are plenty of public showers available around the Broads in most boatyards and a number of moorings - details are in the onboard skippers manual.
